The Louisiana Legislature passed a law that established criteria to evaluate the condition of water systems in the state beginning in 2022. Annually, the Louisiana Department of Health applies the criteria and points are either given or deducted and results in a numeric score and a letter grade. The AWS scored an A in 2022 and 2023.
